Is there God? My blog starts with a question which till today no one including me has the knowledge or wisdom to answer.
The word god was reconstructed from the word ǵhau(ə)-(a proto indo-european word), which meant either "to call" or "to invoke". Yes there comes my point.. To call or ivoke....
The word god doesnt mean there is a super power above us to whom we have to listen and who has set a number of rules to which all human beings should follow...
Rather it just means to call or to ivoke the good things inside you. There is no one above us or below us.. It is just our soul who is the god.
In ancient times people used to worship nature and sun. They never used to do anything to harm nature and thus used to preserve the environment for their well being.
As Humans started dicovering and developing new techniques and methods they no longer cared about the nature and it was at this time few wise people brought in the idea of a god above us and his prophecies.
Another theory could be that there could have been a powerful ruler who wanted his people to worship him. As his empire grew even his theory of worshipping him grew.
But, then people would have hated him once his empire was overthrown... but that didnt happen. So that theory is completely wrong.
The theory which I feel is the best among the cyurrent thory is that, These dieties could be just simple humans who did good things for world. Its not like Jesus brought a dead man alive. It must be just that the person was suffering with some fatal illness and he would have known some herbal or typical medicine for that illness which would have cured him; And this would have come with time with added spice to the story of jesus bringing dead man alive. The most peculiar fact about jesus is that Jesus and Buddha lived in the same period of time. Isnt it peculiar both had the same goal. but still buddha never claimed that he is the son of god. Who knows even Jesus wouldnot have said that He is the son of god in that manner. He would have meant it in this way that The one who brings peace and harmony is the son of god and the less wise people who heard that took it literally.
It is not just the case of jesus.. In hinduism Lord krishna was supposed to have lifted a mountain to prevent his friends from rain. Over here if you use ur brain you can guess what exactly might have happened..Yes, It was just that he guided them to a place which was something like a cave. It is also said that he fought with a big snake and atlast it was brought to his service. It is nothing but he tamed that snake.
Actually many of these could be fiction. It would have been creatted by some wise men just to prevent people from harming other animals and preserving environment.
In hinduism Cow is considered sacred and thus no one harms it, so is snake and many more of those animals which could have been affected very badly by the growth of human beings.
Anyone in this world can be a god. It is just that you have to keep doing good to others without expecting anything back. As Amish in his book Immortals of Meluha Said lord Siva became mahadev because of his dedication and contribution to the people for their wellbeing and each one has a mahadev in himself sleeping somewhere down in the heart. "HAR HAR MAHADEV"
